Dementia Training
Onboarding & Annual Competency

All Care at Home staff who provide direct or indirect care for individuals living with dementia are required to complete dementia-specific education. 
This training supports safe, person-centered care and fulfills state and federal requirements in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, as well as Joint Commission standards. 
New staff complete a structured onboarding program within their first ninety (90) days, and all staff participate in a minimum of four (4) hours of dementia-related continuing education each year to maintain competency and best practice.
Dementia Training Modules

Thank you for taking part in our Dementia Training program. 

This eight-module series is designed to deepen your understanding of dementia and strengthen the skills you need to provide safe, compassionate, and effective care. as well as meet the mandatory onboarding training. 

Each module focuses on a key aspect of dementia care, with a mini-quiz at the end to check your knowledge and obtain credit for this training

Your participation is mandatory and supports our shared commitment to quality, person-centered care for patients and families.

6. Module 7 (55 Minutes): Promotion and Maintenance of Highest Functional Level


7. Module 8 (1 Hour 12 Minutes):  Overview of Alzheimer's & Dementia

8. Module 12 (1 Hour): Communication Strategies and Responding to Challenging Behaviors
